School Board of Martin County

All employees regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours a week are eligible for a school-district paid term life insurance policy. The policy has an accidental death & dismemberment rider for active employees. The schedule of benefits is:

Instructional and Non-Instructional Employees: $35,000
Administrators: Two times salary or $75,000 maximum

Coverage reduces as noted below:

<65	$35,000	2 x salary or a max of $75, 000
65 - 69	$22,750	65% of amount prior to age 65 of a max $48,750
70+	$17,500	50% of amount prior to age 65 or a max of $37,500

* Includes Plant Operators, Confidential Secretaries, Food Service Managers and Extended Day Managers.

Coverage is provided by The Standard Life Insurance Company.

Life insurance beneficiary designations can be made at any time and updated at any time. Online designations can be printed to keep for your records. Paper forms are also available at that same website.
